A mathematically modeled customer application is the optimization of the automatic assembly of the Pick-o-Mat from the WEISS Group. From customer-specific boundary conditions optimal horizontal and vertical travel distances had to be determined.
The program also calculates the cutter coordinates for the mechanical cams. The customers problem could be solved, because we it was modeled as a linear optimization problem and solved using our SiMoLP package.
